The 2 dimensional thinking of the current PKAMK administration has adapted the belief that anyone wanting to pursue music or any form of art as a profession ,should be discouraged from following their said path in favor of a non-creative field of study or what they consider "sensible". This decision to discontinue the music program was not discussed or voted on by a diverse panel but rather, a biased group of middle aged, closed-minded individuals who admittedly do not see "a purpose for musical culture in Joensuu"! Just about all of my colleagues who studied and graduated from the PKAMK music program in the last 12 years ,are actively employed in their field. T.Lawrence Hodge
