Revert Fortnite's Latest AFK Disconnection Update

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that Epic Games reconsider and revert the latest Fortnite update that introduced automatic disconnections for AFK (Away From Keyboard) players. While the intention behind this change may be to reduce idle server load or prevent abuse, it has inadvertently harmed a vital segment of the community: creative map creators and tycoon game players.

Impact on Creators and Tycoon Players:

1. Disruption of Tycoon Game Modes: Tycoon maps often require players to leave their character idle while resources accumulate or while waiting for time-based mechanics. The new AFK disconnection feature interrupts these gameplay loops, making such maps unplayable or frustrating, which in turn diminishes their popularity and engagement.

2. Decreased Engagement with Creative Maps: Many creative experiences are designed around passive gameplay or background interaction. Creators who have spent months developing these modes are seeing their work invalidated, with play counts dropping and players leaving negative feedback due to disconnections.

3. Stifling Innovation in Creative Mode: This update discourages creators from experimenting with alternative game mechanics that involve passive or idle components. Fortnite Creative thrives on diversity and player-driven content—limiting design options sets a precedent that may discourage future innovation.
